We are a small & growing rescue with a long waiting list of urgent dogs at our local shelters, and all out fosters are typically full.
Below is a standard email if you would like more resources at trying to home.
Please take a moment to look at the reality of finding a home for a pit bull: http://www.pbrc.net/adoption/reality.html
Please read through this page http://www.pbrc.net/adoption/owners.html
You could list through PBRC Courtesy Dog Listing program – www.pbrc.net/cl_info.html
and also with www.rescueme.org The dog must be spayed/neutered prior to listing. Other ways to advertise include posting flyers at veterinarian’s and groomer’s offices, pet stores and anywhere where there is a public bulletin board.
You should screen applicants thoroughly. It can take time to find an appropriate home. There is an online application available that you can use for potential adopters: http://www.pbrc.net/submission.html
The best chance of finding this dog a home is if you can care for the dog until a home can be found or possibly ask a close friend for help.
We may be able to help you keep your pet at home or there may be other re-homing options available to you.
